To my utter happiness, people are still registering for Hendersonville's first 23 restaurant, Small Plate Crawl that happens today from 11:30AM to 9:00PM.
Our crew is getting ready to head out for an 11:30 meet-up:
- Cash (w/backup Debit Card), ID and Camera in pockets (no purse today) - Check!
- Passport - You bring yours, I can't :(
- Raincoat - Check!
- Umbrella - Check! In the car for back-up
- Wet-weather Walking Shoes - Check!
- Appetite - Double Check!

It was absolutely fantastic!! Thank you so much for all your hard work pulling this together. Every place we went, I saw LOTS of other "crawlers" with their passports. Every restaurant, too, seemed very pleased with the turnout. Rain doesn't keep food people away!! LOL!
I enjoyed the small plate crawl, too. Could this become a yearly event? If so, I think it would be great if it ran for several days, or even a week. That would enable more people to attend, those with busy Wednesdays who couldn't enjoy this year's event, and allow diners to sample more restaurants. There were certainly more places I would have liked to visit. I went to four restaurants I'd never been before, and I'll probably return to each of them.

I'm in the process getting a Crawl Feedback Survey together for posting on Hendersonville Epicurean. People will be able to comment on yesterday's Crawl and have input on future Crawls.
We loved the small plate crawl! Tried new restaurants as well as new items from old favorites. Heard a lot of comments that the restaurants were very pleased and they want to do it again, 2-4 times per year. A great way to taste what our town has to offer. I can't wait until the next one!
