Leah McGrath, Ingles Nutritionist and Founder of Gluten-Free Asheville and WNC, sent me a link to a great site that hosts a Gluten-Free Restaurant search engine. You can search by "distance from zip code" or by an "advanced search" where you enter specifics you're looking for.
Leah also sent out an Avl GIG Holiday Party invitation to all who would like to attend:

Holiday Gluten Free Potluck Party
This is our biggest social event of the year. All members
of Asheville GIG and the Hendersonville Celiac Support
Groups are encouraged to attend. Please bring one or
two covered dishes to share, being sure to provide an
ingredient list or recipe to place with your dish.
Directions to The Holiday Party
From I-40 take exit 44 (Enka-Candler). Turn right off the exit
ramp onto 19-23 South. Drive approximately 3 miles and turn
right onto Justice Ridge Road. Drive approximately 1 mile.
The Farm (Barn) entrance is on the left.
